Macrame & tallow habits

Tallow comes from suet which is a fat that surrounds organs- mainly the kidneys of either sheep or cows. Tallow is the end product after rendering and purifying the suet.  Making tallow is a slow process that takes days to complete. I source my suet from ranches that are practicing 20 plus years of regenerative farming and are only grass-fed and finished with no antibiotics or pesticides used. Tallow is packed with nutrients and vitamins, it contains the same lipids and fats found in youthful, healthy skin. 

My tallow rendered from grass-fed and finished cattle is packed with vitamins B-12, A, D & K plus antioxidants like vitamin E. The benefits of these vitamins are numerous to count. Vitamin D can induce the expression of antimicrobial peptides and help prevent infections. Vitamin E can prevent the breakdown of collagen and slow signs of aging. Grass-fed tallow is high in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which has anti-inflammatory properties. Tallow has been shown to successfully combat many skin ailments like dry skin, psoriasis and eczema to just name a few.
